Wildfire is exceedingly playable, challenging, yet
fair. Featuring unique straight and directional
bunkering, every hole at Wildfire will challenge
your shot making abilities.
Wildfire touts two picturesque 18-hole courses,
both surrounding the spectacular JW Marriott Desert
Ridge Resort and Spa, giving guests a wide variety
of activities to choose from after an invigorating
day on the course.
Palmer Signature Course: A desert-style
course of championship length (7,170 yards), with
generous fairways and large (average size 7,000
square feet), bent-grass greens, the Palmer Course
features from four to six tee boxes on every hole,
challenging all levels of golfing skill. The 415-yard
par-4 6th is Palmer's signature hole, with the beautiful
Camelback Mountain as the backdrop.
Faldo Championship Course: Located
directly adjacent to the Palmer Course, the par
71 Faldo Championship Course sits on a 174-acre
site, and offers a slight variation from typical
Sonoran Desert-themed courses, with its generous
fairways, large bent grass greens and tee boxes.
The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro
cacti and 106 sand bunkers provide a spectacular
setting.
Wildfire is home the Arizona Media Cup Challenge.
